TypeCast Information Design is owned and operated by Lyle Steadham, who has been in the technical communication field for over 14 years.

Prior to founding his own company, Steadham worked for the renown automated lighting company Vari-Lite from 1991 to 2003 where he was head of their Technical Publications department. Steadham and his team were responsible for creating all product support documentation for complex luminaires and controllers, including the Virtuoso® family of consoles, the Emmy® award winning VL5™wash luminaire, and numerous AC power and data distribution devices.

Upon leaving Vari-Lite in 2003 to found TypeCast, Steadham expanded his documentation services to include mechanical illustration, website development and graphic design. Since 2003, Steadham and his team at TypeCast have continued to provide outsource support for lighting companies, such as Production Resource Group (PRG), Philips, Entertainment Technology, and Lightolier® Controls. TypeCast has also been a crucial resource for electronic firms, speaker management companies, entertainment artists and management companies, offering a one-stop outsource for websites, marketing materials and product documentation that are required in today's market.

We are located in the Dallas - Ft. Worth, Texas area, although, many of our clients are located in other parts of the U.S.
